Senior Session
Before my session with Karen, I was both nervous and excited. I was nervous because I feel like I’m not good in front of the camera, but she made it very easy for me to get comfortable in front of the lens. I was also excited for my photo session because Karen is a family friends and is super easy to work with. So have fun with it and just be yourself.

Before I did my photo shoot with Karen, I was just a bit nervous because I had never done a photo shoot of just me. I also felt a bit of pressure that you’re supposed to look “perfectly beautiful” for senior sessions and I really wanted my pictures to turn out well.
However, when I met Karen, I wasn’t nervous anymore! She was easy to talk to and laugh with. The whole photo shoot was just a lot of fun. I was able to just be me. Maybe that’s why I like the pictures so much; the pictures were completely me. They were authentic, nothing fake, or made up. That is why I would recommend Karen Handtke Photography to anyone who is looking for a natural, easygoing and beautiful photos shoot.

Creative Sessions
Before my photo session, I felt nervous, because I had never done a photo session before. I also was really excited for the session. After the session, I felt like a princess. It was awesome! Having a photo session with Karen is so fun, because she is such a kind person, and she is just a pleasure to be around. I loved my photo session with Karen, because she is an awesome photographer, and it was such an enjoyable experience. She played fun music, my hair got styled, and I got to dress up in cool clothes. It was almost like getting to play dress up again one more time!

Anniversary Session
My wife Hope and I had the privilege of hiring Karen Handtke as our photographer for some wedding shots that we regretted hiring someone else for two years ago at our actual wedding. It was the best money I have spent in a long time. During that photo shoot, I wanted to share how she made us feel, which in my opinion should be the sole reason you hire a photographer.
Do you want to feel like a rock-star in your own skin? Done. Do you want to be directed how to get the best shot? Done. We left the photography session feeling uplifted and frankly that we missed our callings as models. I have no doubt that she does this with every single person. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, sweet, funny, joy-filled, and a one of a kind photographer…. She made us feel appreciated and made us feel special and I think she does that with everyone that she meets. This is who she is.

Sweet Sixteen Session
Karen Handtke did such a beautiful job on my daughter’s Sweet 16 pictures! Such attention to detail and color! She took her time making sure everything was just right while still allowing my daughter to have fun and to be relaxed during the photo shoot! Beautiful setting allowing for both studio and outdoor pictures! Could not have asked for more! Highly recommend!
